    Hi everyone,

I stumbled across this site whilst doing some research on growing melons and after reading through some of the post's decided to join waht seems to be a merry throng.

My rear garden is all concrete or water so as my Monika suggests I grow everything in containers of one type or another.

Hope I don't prove to much of a pain with my questions.

    Colin.

Hello Colin and a very warm welcome to the Vine. You'll get lots of ideas and advice about your containers on here and you're right, we are a very friendly bunch of grapes.

Welcome to the vine Colin. Your vine name will help us to remember you will be mostly growing in containers! Quite a few grapes on here are container growers too - I am particularly proud of my Xmas parsnips this year, grown in a small square tub.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Thankyou all for the warm welcome, looks like I made the right choice in joining the forum. It will take some time to find my way about but I am sure that itself will be fun.

Two Sheds thanks for the reminder I too have a bottle of Warres left over from the holiday.

                  Colin.

Sorry to disappoint you Chris but I must admit I never thought of it until I read the other thread.

However if you think of the large black plastic water tanks that most people have in their loft then thats another story. I have six now.
