    Hey there all

I'm so glad i found somewhere that seems to have loads of people growing well hopefully i can borrow some of your knowledge.

I've been fortunate to live all over the world and grown from seed in other countries and now am trying here, all the other countries were of a hot climate.

Any thing special i need to know about growing from seed here.

    All suggestions welcome.
From a confused and lost Gazath

Firstly, Hello Gazath and a very warm welcome to the vine from Jinny Cat & Me.

Secondly, If your planing on planting squash, courgettes, cucumbers etc wait while the frost had finished before you plant them out. If your growing tomatoes...watch out for blight. Have a good search round on here and you should find all the information you need to keep you on the straight and narrow. It all depends on what your growing and where, have you got a green house, are you growing in raised beds, are you growing in pots, garden or are you lucky enough to have an allotment. What kind of soil (Clay - Sandy - Silty - Peaty - Chalky - Loamy Soils) or if your using multi purpose compost (M.P.C). It might be a bit hit & miss until you get the hang of it. Your worst enemy is the weather...but unfortunately we can's help you with that . Anything else...just ask, I'm sure one or two of us will be able to help. Most of all...have fun .

Welcome to the vine! Have a look at the thread called 'what I sowed today' - that will give you some idea of what to sow when. And don't be shy to post a query about your veg on the vegging out fourm.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

              Hey there all

Well thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm growing in pots and boxes some on the ground and some on the walls i dont have a green house but my conservatory is it for the moment.

I dont have a garden it is only a yard so i figured i would make the most of what i have.

Apple tree growing well cut away half the branches and put it up against the wall.

In pot i got toms courgette, chillies, peas, beans, lettuce, and loads of herbs.

i dont know what will grow but im holding thumbs and praying to the veg and herb gods for a good crop.

In your conservatory? They can't go outside until after your last frost (May)
Your courgettes might not make it, they'll get very big over the next 2 months

What beans are they? Broad beans can go outside but runners and French not until May, again
