Novice from South Yorkshire

Hello everyone, What a friendly helpfull bunch you are !!. I have very kindly been given a greenhouse from a young couple next door but one, who are renovating the house they have just purchased, I used to walk past the house whilst they were busy and say to my oh "oooh i hope they dont smash the greenhouse up and skip it " and low and behold one sunday morning a knock on the door and the young man was there and asked if i would like the greenhouse YEEEEEY !!!!. So my oh has dismantled it and rebuilt it on our patio, and its now my pride and joy. So now im hooked on growing. Every time i needed to know anything re gardening i would google it and it allways brought this site up and so far all my questions have been answered, so i thought it would be fun to join, so although i am a newbie this site has allready helped me so much. Thankyou xx

Ahhhh thankyou for your kind greetings x have spent all morning in my green house and at last i have signs of germanation !!!!! I am from a little village near Rotherham and will put it on my profile when i learn how too lol lol

Hi sully, go to the top of the page and click on User CP, that will take you to another screen. You need to click on Edit Your Details...scroll down until you get to Location. Just pop in Rotherham, South Yorkshire then click save changes...you don't have to put exactly where you are. Good Luck.

Hello and welcome to the vine Sully, I also had my greenhouse given me by a neighbour

Phew Bren have had it for four weeks now, its bubble wrapped, heated and my future son in law had made me a lovely potting table, have bought 3 of those mini polythene greenhouses from wilko and just used the shelving for the GH, and have got lot n lots of seeds on the go, however my ironing pile has never been so big, and if it fell on anyone i,m sure they would end up in intensive care lol

Hi Sully & welcome from one Yorkshire gal to another ( I'm from North Yorkshire).
I have a greenhouse coming in May (buying it off a local lady for £25-bargain!) as her health is getting bad but she has plants in it at the moment so is ringing me to dismantle/collect then, & I am so excited.
The GH has been really well looked after & shes including staging etc got a feeling it will become my second home !!
