  • Hello Fellow gardeners

It's a new year and a new season with new challenges ahead. I am here in the North west of Ireland, gardening on the worst soil in the country alas some of the time and not too bad at others. It's drumlin country up here, plus we get a lot of rain.
My thing is community gardening. I work along with around 3 gardens. My training is in amenity horticulture but I am a dyed in the wool organic. I am an artist of sorts and a musician also of sorts, love nature, animals, film and photography.
I believe that community gardening is the soloution to mental health and social inclusion
.I also believe dealing with our waste(water, food, sewage)is the best soloution to a greener, cleaner planet.

drumlins are piles of stones and general debris gathered by glaciers as they travel along. Mostly dumped in Cavan and Monaghan see:Patrick Kavanagh"oh stoney grey soil of Monaghan".
