  • Moving house and very excited!

I have been in a flat for 8 years, never had a garden to speak of, and I've just bought a house with a BIG one.

I'm here to learn, and read mostly to begin with.

Here's hoping the purchase goes through smoothly - I have big plans already

welcome! Sounds great, I got into growing when our house was on the market, so desperately wanted to dig the garden over - but held off. It's great moving from little, if not any to having some land to grow in!

Where abouts are you based? fingers crossed for the move

How wonderful...a garden for you to play in. Welcome to the world of fruit and veg, you'll never look back. Treat yourself to a little table and chairs, pop them in a sunny spot, there's nothing better than sitting outside eating what you've grown. If you pop your rough vaccinate in your profile, you'll get tailor made information on weather/growing conditions for your area from peeps that live near by.

Ooops, forgot to say "Good Luck with your move" .

              thanks everyone.

              I'm in Norfolk.

I've had houses with gardens before, but I've never really 'done' gardening.

This one has a wilderness - and a garden front and back.

My plans go from chickens through a summer house to raised vegetable beds. But the house has to be tackled first I think.

well that's what the OH is saying; decorate/carpet the house, fit the solar and wood burner - whilst just staying on top of the front and back gardens - THEN, NEXT year, I can tackle the third acre wilderness .... course, I'm sure I can do a little something in that section before then.
