Oh I'm great at pointing and delegating. I just tended the firepit with the old fencing that we pulled out to install the gate.

This place has already paid dividends though - because I'm no longer going to splash over £100 on a wormery, I'm going to have a go at building one. Have to confess though that OH is still piffling on about decorating first.

If I get really going and make a bed in the outback is it too late to put anything in to grow this year? Or will I have time as long as I get my teenage lad digging soon? (see, delegation!).

Quite a lot of stuff can still go in. Winter and spring cabbage (specially if you can beg or buy plants rather than starting from seed). Salad (lettuce, radish, early carrots such as Nantes), peas. Lots of suggestions on here. Some on this thread http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...ice_59768.html

Hello again Corris, glad to hear you're good at delegating and hope you're fully fit soon so you too can get your hands dirty!
