Hi from Spain

Hi everybody,
I am Alan, I have lived in Spain for 20 years and four years ago moved to this ex-pat free area of Cordoba.Unlike a lot of Spain we have an abundance of water which unfortunately means we have to suffer periods when we can not get on the garden.
Yesterday was the day when you send all day eating and drinking, we had six Spanish friends round along with my sister and brother in law and was able to serve them our first new potatoes, turnips and carrots along with peas we have now had for some time.
Is there any one else out there from Spain?

Welcome to the vine Alan - I returned from my visit to Barcelona clutching some packets of seeds - some of which are happily growing now. I noticed that the packets have a lot more seeds in them than the measley ones we get here, and also the seeds were dressed with some pink stuff - not sure what that is.
Anyway I hope you find the vine a helpful and amusing place to visit!
