    Hi, Florence. It is a lovely part of the country, not that it's shouted about much. That is actually part of the charm though, that the beauty spots are quite quiet. I've not been to Sheffield but a friend of mine's son lived there for a few years and he loved it, and you've got some lovely countryside on your doorstep.

    Hi, Glutton4 and Florian. Yep, lots of plants in pots around here waiting to go in. Although I have already had to put the sweetcorn in the veg bed because they were bursting out of their loo roll pots, so I was out building a mini-greenhouse of bubblewrap round them last night.

      Just name the time and the place. My wooden spoon is ready.

                  Too much icing sugar - you wouldn't win a W.I. prize with that... And, technically, a Vicky Sponge oughtn't to have cream in it either

                      They won't let me in the WI to get instructions! I have to guess what it's meant to be like.

                      That was baked on May 5th. You don't honestly think there's any left, do you?

                        Hello from the Scottish Highlands
                        “Behold her, single in the field,
                        Yon solitary Highland lass!
                        Reaping and singing by herself;
                        Stop here, or gently pass!”
