  • Hi there

Hi My name is Louise (briggsy2011)

I have just joined this forum as I am new to having an allotment.

I have started 16.04.2011 when i planted my first seeds. My first mistake was to plant all my tom seeds! I have now given away 80+ seedlings! but i will learn the hard way!
So far I have planted - toms, spring onions, pots, brocolli, cabbage and lettuce. All starting sto grow nicely.

I will be asking plenty of questions.

    hello again

Greetings and salutations! What's your allotment like? Is it ready to go or does it need knocking into shape?
Our England is a garden, and such gardens are not made
By singing-'Oh how beautiful!" and sitting in the shade,
While better men than we go out and start their working lives
At grubbing weeds from gravel paths with broken dinner-knives. ~ Rudyard Kipling

Hi and welcome to the vine from me too.

An allotment is so exciting, I love mine and spend hours there especially in the summer. I call it my little haven. I find it at time hard work but well worth it.

Hello Louise. I hope you enjoy your time on the vine. There are some great characters here, and always lots of useful advice.

                    Good luck with the allotment.
A good beginning is half the work.
