          Hello & welcome,I have often wondered whats the shoreline fishing like on the sea lochs ? dont mind them being a bit inaccessible the Frontera gets most places,I quite fancy a drive up the West coast & maybe get onto Islay & Jura just for the fishing & scenery

            Hello Snadger, Chrismarks & Bearded Bloke,
            Thanks for the welcome.
            Bearded Bloke -- Upper Loch Torridon is designated as a shellfish harvesting area by the food standards agency for the production of common mussels, but we have good fishing - pollack, mackeral, launce, codling, gurnard, dogfish, Common Skate up to 200 lbs - all within 30-40 yards of the shore, we also have Salmon rivers flow into the upper Loch; so when they are running theres always the chance of hooking one or two, the good old sea trout has diminished in recent years, thanks to flippin Salmon farming (But that is a rant for another day). Islay and Jura are quite a bit south so my local fishing knowledge of these areas is limited.
            Thanks - all for the warm welcome.
            “Behold her, single in the field,
            Yon solitary Highland lass!
            Reaping and singing by herself;
            Stop here, or gently pass!”
