Soil DEeficiencies

Hi I am new to the forum and not brilliant on a computer. I have dwarf and French and dwarf Runners going a bit brownish round the edges of bottom leaves. From what I have read this is a soil deficiency. I have applied diluted sulphate of Potash................am I heading down the right road with this or would I be better applying some good old Miracle Grow????????????
