Hello everyone,
Been lurking here for a while so thought it was about time I started contributing (although for now all I can contribute will be hundreds of questions ).
We bought a house in December with a fairly big veg patch that used to be part of the allotments next to us - it was very overgrown in December, but we've managed to dig it all and put some beds in. I've put some pics in below.
We are also incredibly lucky to have a small orchard at the end of our garden. So far we seem to have 2 greengage trees and 2 types of apple - definitely one bramley, but no idea about the other. If there are any apple experts willing to have a look I'll post some photos of the fruit in a few months.
Thanks to everyone in advance for any help or advice we can get here - it seems like a really friendly place so far We've read a few allotment books, but there's no substitute for experience (as we've found so far with a few disasters this year!).
