I've been lurking here for a while, but thought it was high time I actually joined
We moved into our first house near Croydon just shy of a year ago.
We've got a good-sized garden (for London, anyway) which I have big plans for, but renovation work on the house took precedence so this year's newbie growing has mostly been in containers and my new greenhouse, but has been a really useful learning experience so far!
My toms, courgettes, peas and now runner beans are all going great guns, and my rainbow chard looks great in pots on the patio. Had a record crop of strawbs from the plants I kept while we had a flat as well, and luckily we inherited some prolific plum, cherry and hazel trees!
We hope to put in raised beds over the winter ready for next year's growing - and of course, get some chickens in place!
All very exciting!
