On the 15th September 2010 I started setting out an allotment with thirty-six plots. Thirty of them were set out using 3in square wooden posts driven into the ground and leaving 90cm above. The posts, one in corner of the plot were to be permanent. There are 130 in total.
Once set out, the plot holders were given the ok on September 28th and they went ahead with their preparations.
The plots varie in size. The smallest 85 m2 to the largest 165 m2, they face north to south and east to west. There is one plot of 80 m2 that is used by a local school and five raised beds of 9 m2, for the less-able. .... to be continued.....
