  • Hi i am David

Hi all i live in N Ireland and have retired now about 2 years as i am very fond of salads i started about 2 months ago growing some packets of seeds called living salad that i got out of the pound shop i put them in a container and that has got me starter using containers to grow other stuff in. When on holidays at my daughters in Cambridge i picked up a walk in greenhouse in Aldi in the sale for £10 so i have erected this to-day on the back lawn and it looks well i had some supermarket potatoes that had shot so i put them in a container and set them in the greenhouse i know someone will tell me i should have used seed potatoes but i,ll try the supermarket ones for now. So what,s all in the greenhouse Beetroot/ Dwarf Beans/ asparagus/ Spinach and rocket all in containers so we will see how that grows in the greenhouse also Strawberries in a tub

Welcome to the vine David. Watch out for that plastic greenhouse in the windy weather - we don't call them blow-aways for nothing

Welcome to the forum! Your spuds will need protection from the frost, it's a tad late for them but you may get some nice small ones to use as new potatoes!

Hi David, I joined this forum today too, looks interesting doesn't it!
I grew dwarf french beans for the first time this year, and on my windy plot, they did really well, best of luck with yours.

Hello and welcome. Your beets & beans won't do anything at this time of year, sorry. Take them out and plant garlic and onion sets instead
