Thanks again for your advice Nicos. I've had a look at the GYO blogging, and it looks as though the most straightforward way for me to present everything with lots of photos, is to create a blog which I will put on my profile and then link to it. I can then put short updates on the GYO blog, and if anyone wants to read more, the full post will be available - same idea as Autumnmiss and her 'gillschickens' blog. Hopefully that will enable me to update regularly, refer to it in the forum - but also lay out the photos in an easier to read format.
I have just set up the blog, and will be entering the 'before' photos over the next few days - so I will update it on my profile.... and hopefully it will all work.
Jardiniere - I am truly on the southernmost tip of Dordogne, just North of Villereal in Lot et Garonne.... in fact the big signpost welcoming you to the Dordogne is just 2km from our door!
