Thankyou Jeanied, I hope I do. I try to be a green gardener as well as using and saving heritage seeds to keep traditional rich flavour and genuine crops alive. I have a question for you in regards to your seed parcel. Obviously not being anywhere near 6 months or 50 posts yet but being as I am I would like to send some seed to add to this fantastic system you have. I do not wish to take anything from the parcel just give freely. Can I do this so others can benefit from some free heritage produce and hopefully save some seed for others to use?

I ask nothing in return to do this.

I'd hold fire a bit Donny.. There are discussions about the parcels and how they're ran at the moment - but all donations to it are greatly lot received, yes . Mind you, that said there's nothing stopping whoever runs the parcel holding onto them until it's back ready for its next round

You don't have to have 50 posts to _offer_ seeds, but being such a new user any uptake on them may be low (as I'm sure you'd expect )

But in answer to your question there's nothing stopping you offering seeds for the parcels.

Thanks everyone for your kind welcome.

Mods, is there an address I can send seeds too. The list of what I can send is a little large but, I am happy to donate to help others try a few heritage and save their seed from them for a bumper crop next year.

I know that being a new member will make me suspect but I dont mind that, I only offer for free, no cost whats so ever.

I like to help keep the heritage of our fantastic tasting crops alive and if i can increase that by giving some of mine away, then happy days for all.

            Donny

Well, as I mentioned we're having a look at the way the parcels are currently operating (its not ideal, really..) there's some thoughts in the pipeline - which is why I was saying to holdfire

Off the top of my head, I don't know who runs the pea/bean parcel.. or are they not just bean seeds?

                ... ah there isn't one

There's a seed saving circle though, which I guess by next years harvesting times you'd be well in to put your name down then - you never know though - if there's enough interest a legume parcel could be created.

                  Just beans, lol, nooooo

broad beans, CZar , Aquilon, Cherokee trail of tears, verde di milano courgette, Jaune de poitou leeks, Latah toms, Stupice toms, Sanguina beetroot, Tondo di piacenza courgette, Anna swartz Hubbard winter squash, Blue banana winter squash and Champian of england peas. I also have the large salad peppers but sadly lost my yellow courgettes so no seeds from those.

No. I do buy seeds from them but a lot are what I have kept from saving seeds. I bought a lot from them this year just to see if they degrade. I also want to try some new ones which I will not post the names of until I have tried them.
