I tend to grow perennials like rhubarb, soft fruit and herbs mostly, with salads and tomatoes in the greenhouse and potatoes, onions and beans wherever I can squeeze them in. I don't have an allotment and the soil in my garden is shallow and stony so root crops are difficult. Anything that I grow and can eat is a bonus!

What part of Ireland Frank? I've been to Dublin (obviously) Wexford, Glendalough, Kerry (particularly liked the Dingle Peninsula, the lakes of ,Kilarney, the rock of Cashel Tipperarey, Waterford, Cork, Kinsale and Clonakilty. You'll have to excuse the spelling.

I had my first ever hot toddy on that trip.

Daughter's dog (see above) was rescued from Cork by Dog's Trust.
