  • Hi from Sunny (sometimes) Suffolk!

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new - just a couple of posts about an artichoke last summer that turned out to be a cardoon so thought I'd introduce myself properly. I took on my first half allotment last year and had a pretty successful season despite the drought in this part of the world! Lugging heavy cans of water has left me with a frozen shoulder so I'm finding out about the no-dig method. Haven't seen a thread about it so may start one - I know there'll be lots of advice from all the knowledgeable folks on here. Looking forward to sharing the next growing season.

Hello Bramley and welcome. The no-dig method is very popular here and there are lots of practitioners who will be able to help you.

I think we must be getting all your rain up here, we haven't had a rain-free day for a couple of months

                Welcome!

You'll still have to water with a no-dig plot

Hello, and welcome to the Madhouse!

I'm a fan of the 'No Dig' method too, but mainly because I'm lazy. Lasagne Beds is another search you could do - just in case you've got to the bottom of those others!

Wow, that's wonderful, Two Sheds. To true, watering can't be escaped though I hope we get a bit more rain than last year down here, but if I can save on the digging...

I'll explore the threads thoroughly - have already begun gathering cardboard!
