Hi, I've followed this forum for a while but never been brave enough to post! I've dabbled in growing a few veggies to the point that my husband had to build me some raised beds last year. My New Years resolution is to try and be quite self sufficient (at least over the summer!) and there are even plans for a chicken coop when the weather gets a bit warmer. As I've just started working from home, I have dreams to omelettes and freshly picked salads for my lunch Any advice would be gratefully received.

Welcome to the mad house, you'll have far more fun joining in that watching from the sidelines. Every little bit helps, even if you're not self sufficient. Oh and by the way, nought better than a poached egg straight from the nest into boiling water!
EDIT : Jut thought of something better... having some nice chunky chips to dip in them soft yolk's.... hmmmm hungry nowLast edited by RedThorn; 31-01-2012, 01:54 PM.Never test the depth of the water with both feet
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory....
