  • Whoops! Never said hello!

I've been here since September last year and I just realised I never said hello!

I'm Kaiya, I'm a full time student so living in student digs in Herts during the week and spending weekends at my parents' in Essex where we have a 1/5-1/4 (9mx6m) allotment. I've grown tomatoes since I was little but this is the first time we've had the space to do anythign else. We got the allotment at the start of 2011 and managed to grow onions, broadies, courgettes, a few random cabbages and brussells last year, although the beetroots, carrots and potatoes were a flop and the self-sown pot marigolds went a bit mad. I'm a terrible procrastinator and it's mostly me working alone at the weekends, so have to make lots of plans, maps, lists etc. to try and keep on top of it, otherwise we end up with the largest field of marigolds in Essex.

Anyway - that is me Hello!

I have seen you around Kaiya, but have a very warm "official" welcome anyway! Sounds like you've got your work cut out so good luck with it all. I love marigolds, they even look lovely in a pot!
