  • Hi

    Hi

Started growing my own veg last year after my father died - took over his greenhouse and really enjoyed it. Not sure if he was looking down on me but had a great year with cauliflowers , runner beans , cucumbers , tomatoes , strawberries , beetroot.

Really looking forward to trying other veggies iut - any suggestions - I have a veg plot that is about 12 ft by 12 ft and a nice greenhouse.

Welcome to the vine Mikeyh. Before we can recommend things for you to grow it would be helpful if you could put your location in your profile. I grow on an allotment in a fairly mild area of the country so sweetcorn and squashes are my favourite things to grow - plus fruit of all kinds.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Greetings mikeyh, and welcome to the Vine.

Hello Mikeyh and welcome. I'm sure your father would be very pleased that you've taken on the greenhouse and are so enthusiastic about growing veggies. Hope you have a great year!

Hi Mikey. It's good to carry on where your Father left off. Maybe he passed on more than a few genes.

If I had a green house I'd be doing Melons and a vine, but then I'd need another one for everything else. You have already grown cucumber and I will be trying first time this year.

                    Happy growing!
