You don't have a lot fo space there, unless you plant the broccoli outside of the bed and straight in the ground [nothing wrong with that]
Have a look at square foot gardening....and hiya
I might chuck the broccoli some where else in the garden. If nothing else the rabbits will enjoy it

I started with square foot gardening, this is a wee bit of an extension of what I did last year.

It was indeed! Bit of a cold start today, sun out now so I'm going to do a bit more.

Yeah, I intend to end up with a kind of flattened 'C' shape, the short part to be a herb garden. Hopefully it will work.

Thought about that, but future plans are to put gravel down between, less grass to cut

Ah, cheers. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to flowers. Although I'll have to learn as I would like to put some roses down the left hand side!

Try carrots if you haven't grown them before. You won't believe the difference in flavour Radishes are amazingly fast growing, if you want to get as much out of the growing area as possible. Beetroot is quite quick too, and all the salads too of course
        Good luck and enjoy!
Thank you, I'm definitely doing carrots, probably some salad leaves and may give the beets and radishes a go.

Thank you all, finding it to be nice friendly place to be

Forgot this was about interests including gardening. In addition to my new found enjoyment of gardening I also enjoy a spot of Karate and some cycling. Although the barrel round my tummy would suggest otherwise ;-)

I also enjoy Real ales and cold ciders and lager (cause of the tummy barrel?) and the odd spirit. Have just noticed the juicy gossip section, guess I'm heading there next for a browse.

I was always the cyclist in the house, but the bug has now bitten Mr TS. He's 18 stone, not really built for it
But strong as hell, he soon outpaced me. He's gone from not being able to ride into town without whingeing, to booking himself on the London to Amsterdam this summer

                      We both love our ale
