New to site - New to Allotments

hi all
I am new to this site and i am new to allotment gardening ,
I have a 10m by 18m plot in North Devon and its a new site,
We have a little shed and I am building a fruit cage too - Will try and add some pics too
Any hints and tips would be greatfully recived .

Growing spuds, peas, beans, carrots etc

ps If anyone has or knows anything about Flymo DM rotivator please help !! lol

Welcome! Looks a nice tidy plot already. Either you've put alot of work into it already or you were lucky enough to inherit a plot in reasonable nick. Basically, the world is your oyster as regards growing stuff, now is the perfect time to sow pretty much anything. Hang on a couple of weeks yet for runners/french beans, needs to get a bit warmer for those, but spuds, carrots, beetroot, peas and possibly parsnips and broad beans if you hurry but never sown those two this late myself (there will be someone along presently to advise you further). Always grown stuff at home in my (sheltered) garden, but got our first lottie last May, so this is our first full season, so will be a steep learning curve. The folks on here are very helpful and friendly though.

I have spent a good few weeks to get this plot up and running as when we all got there it was just a field , - the site has only been going a short time.
I am good at the Digging bit lol but i am still a novice when it comes to the rest ,
I have started to grow runner beans, broad beans and peas from seeds at home and am planning on planting carrots etc straight in to the ground once it stops raining .
I still need to finish building my fruit cage though xx
