  • New to site and just got an allotment

    Hi Everybody,

After a 2 and a half year wait I received my half allotment plot a couple of weeks ago. I count myself lucky as the plot has a shed, greenhouse and plenty of materials.
I have been on the plot the last couple of weekends as it is covered in weeds and some old crops, so the clearance has begun.
I have grown spuds (in tyres) and tomatoes (in pots) in my garden but not had this much space before.
I plan to construct raised beds to place over the whole plot and grow spuds, runner beans and all other popular veggies and salads.
The photos of my plot based in Leicestershire are in my profile.
I look forward to your responses, advice and friendly banter.

Thank you for all the welcomes and comments.
The shed clearup was done first as it was raining hard, hence the shed pics. I promise there will be more of the plot hopefully after the bank holiday.
Sorry for making my name so long, like the abbreviation.
