              Harvesting in Southern Scotland

              I'm in Scotland too,
Harvesting Chilli Fresno, Jalapeño,Cheyenne that were overwintered on my windowsills and still live there!
lettuce, early swift potatoes and early nates carrots ready for harvest also.
potatoes were in bags in a cold frame, carrots and lettuce started in and unheated greenhouse.
My Toms are formed but not ready yet on windowsills, though. I'm a bit jealous of yours!!!
              Have a good day

Hahah never had a paper to hand and the wife thought a was daft enought take pictures with my name and date on it, but you got to do what you got to do to show your not feeding people bull,

I didn't think it was that great a deal, the bosses wife and the big mate are further ahead than me, mizjazz am the same a had a couple of apaches left from last year and a naga jolokio still flowering at Christmas there, this year has been a good one for Scottish gardeners not a inch of snow since last year and frost was minimum in Ma area, given me a great start on the roots as well carrots radish turnips last years broccoli over wintered and was eaten last month great start,
Yeah veggiechiken av got a 6x8 polycarbonet greenhouse with a small greenhouse heater, at the peak off summer our garden receives ;16hours of direct sun from dawn till 9pm,

Wow, that has given me something to aim for! Welcome to the vine :-)

It's my first full year of growing and we were still having frosts this week. I do have a tiny tomato on one of the plants on the dining room window though.

Cheers Mandy you profile picture is not this year surely, camelon up near the Falkirk wheel, yeah they tasted so sweet, juicey as it gets mouth watering just now, the picks of the peppers are next for harvesting the one at last weeks barbie were huge and most importantly they cooked well holding a lot of moisture after being barbied with a nice crunch,
Peppermint once you have your first year under your belt the next are all ways better, new strains new ideas, am still enjoying it and learning year after year

Ok, so I can't claim you are on the sunny side as you are just along the canal from me!

You just have better green fingers than me

Glad they tasted good, mine will get blight before I get to taste them
