  • Hello from a newbie in South Wales!

    Hi everyone!

I live in Newport, South Wales and have just been given my first allotment :-). Had been on the waiting list for about 2 years at various different sites and finally got a plot at the site that's 5 mins walk from my house - couldn't be better!

It's a full size plot so lots of work but I'm very excited. It has a shed of sorts - I think it's actually an old air raid shelter but it keeps the tools dry lol. There's already three beds and an area of fruit bushes (I think they are fruit bushes but will need to inspect more clearly as it's a bit of a jungle!). The rest is pretty much a mess but I figure now it's mine I can work through it as long as I'm showing I'm making progress.

So..... hello to everyone! Can't say I'll be able to offer much advice on here as I know absolutely nothing and will be learning as I go from other people and my own mistakes lol. But I would be grateful to receive any advice :-) and I'm sure I'll be posting regularly to get other peoples opinions!!

Hahaha yes that's me but the boss doesn't like me to be too obvious about it hence the no-h. I thought I disguised the name well :-)
