    Ceiling joists? Why would I plant on the roof? Surely it would make more sense to start on the floor...dear oh dear

      I was assuming (obviously wrongly) that your spare room was upstairs.

        you must be going to grow at ground level,or you got a bugalow lol,as if you were to use upstairs,you will have ceiling joists below your floor boards,deary me

              Ha, If I had to grow above the ceiling joists in this house - lets just say it wouldn't be fruit that was growing lol. Fortunately it's just the fresh fruit I'm interested in
