I am Sue and my long suffering hubby is Les. We live on the Norfolk/Suffolk borders. We have grown veggies on and off for a few years - we have now completely downsized from huge plot to 16 x 1 square foot and several born again pallets turned into carrot/parsnip boxes etc. Like everbody else we have the normal garden bugs battleing us for domination except... we also have a 10 year old greyhound who happily helps herself to any veggies and soft fruit she can get her mouth aroung. We havr had to fence because of the dog. Even the spiky gooseberries arn't safe. Oh Well!

Hello again Muppet Sue I have 2 crazy fruit and veg eating dogs too. They're good at picking blackberries (must be low growing though as they have rather short legs - just like me!)

Ugly little (and very large) sluggers arn't they! If we were'nt vegetarians I would seriously try cooking with the things - in our garden we could have ate like kings for months. Slug fricasse anyone?

ancee - it's a well known fact (at least here in neolithic Norfolk) that you need a Health and Saftely Certificate in Rectal Insertion Level 4 to be a Muppet mauler.
