  • first post!

    Hi all.
I've just registered and thought I'd say hello to you all. I'm a new grower and need all the help I can get! I mainly grow veg, but I suspect I will expand in time!Last years growing was appauling... not sure if it was the weather, inexperience, or a bit of both-but i've still got the growing bug so i'm happy . As for other hobbies, i ride a 650cc trike and i'm an uncontrollable dog lover. I'm female aged 40. Look forward to getting to know you all, take care and happy growing

                  Hi Triker

                  I've a 600cc two wheeler - don't see many trikes around.

If you've still got the growing bug after such a disheartening start I'm sure you'll do fine. Roll on summer.

You have to look on the bright side - last year was equally bad for everyone. The excess rain was going to quite literally put a damper on everyone's growing.
The impact on the slug population was dramatic and this year a priority will have to be reducing slug levels.

I am guaranteeing a hot dry summer by having bought some watercress seeds.
