  • Hello everybody :) Im new around here

    Hi everyone
Just thought I would start by saying hello

I've been growing my own veg, on and off, for around 15 years now both in my garden and for a few years when I had an allotment when my children were little. Having said that I'm very much a novice and seem to have more disasters than successes!!

At the moment I have very little space with most of the things in my garden having to be grown in pots. I am hoping to invest in a small greenhouse though over the next few weeks.

I work full time in the NHS and have 2 teenage children so life is pretty hectic but my intention this year is to make some 'me time' which I can spend in the garden.

Thought I would join this forum to connect with other gardeners, to share my experiences in growing in a small space and to hopefully pick up some tips.

Would love to hear from some of you out there

    Best wishes
    J

        Hi J, welcome.

I am newish to growing veg too and find the site a big help
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it.
If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.

Hello and welcome to the vine J
You can grow just about anything in the right sized container with careful watering I'm lucky these days because we filled in a pond and dug up some of the lawn so I could have a few beds to grow in.
                Location....East Midlands.

I don't do pots much. But welcome anyway and there's lots of people who will share their potty information......now that just doesn't sound right does it?

Alex and Mygardenpots, if you go to your profile you can add your location so people know what part of the country you are from. If you look on the right top corner of each post you'll see where we are all from. Makes it easier to give advice when you know where people are/weather etc.
And more interesting to know where people are from as well.
