    Hi,
Introduction, here goes.Age, secret, 65+. Like gardening but new to it. Grew some great onions but second year couldn't give attention required so didn't do well.
Growing a red grapevine which is now attacking neighbours garden. took 5 cuttings, planted them, three grew and I hope we will get some grapes this year. Any advice on this exercise would be gratefully received. I live in Worcester St Johns. With 100ft of garden down to the Laugherne Brook. Perfect for growing if you are well motivated which I ain't.

I bought a Mowerland Rotavator 2yrs ago and the drive belt is snapped. I can't get one anywhere does anyone no who does Mowerland spares locally.

Hopefully there is someone out there who knows these things.
I would also like some advice on how to get rid of rust spot on my pears.

That's it for now, post again soon. Probably with more questions.

    Happy growing.

    Pete E

        Hello & welcome

Regarding your drive belt, there are a finite number of "sections" (A,B,D,polyvee) if you have the old one take it to a local engineers merchant & they will be able to match it for you

Hello, and welcome to the Madhouse! I'd try a local/backyard mower repairer, or fleabay, personally. As for te Pears, you need to speak to FB - the font of all knowledge regarding fruit trees.

Hi to the 6 who replied to my plee and post.
I had a result yesterday with the drive belt in Stourport-on-Severn. D&B Mowers. He measured it, made a call and they posted 2 within the hour. Picking them up on Thurs. £7 each. Good result but the best part
is that he was happy to help. A rare commodity these days. This forum sounds as if you are all cut from the same mould. Thanks for your advice and welcome.

I have a lot of success with breeding FIG trees and they taste lovely. If you cover with fleece in Winter, they will fruit twice yearly. I get 80% success with cuttings and the same with grape cuttings
as well. Trying fruit trees at moment but no results as yet.

                Bye for now.

                Pete
