Hello folks, as I have just retired I thought that I would try a computer and learn more about gardening, I struggle with both computer and garden but hope to gain knowledge of both on the grapevine IAM North Ayrshire

Welcome to the vine Iam, check out the "What I did Today" thread & it will give you an idea of what other grapes are doing, obviously you will have to take your own climate into consideration, enjoy the vine, your computer & your gardening.
P.S........Just to help with any questions & answers, it will help if you put your location on your profile.Last edited by Bigmallly; 28-03-2013, 10:38 PM.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

Welcome! To the vine and to the computer. Both totally frustrating, but worthwhile!
Love it when people say they haven't the time, or are too old for a computer. I get so much more done, because I get information quickly, can socialise without leaving my home (yes, lazy I know,) and i don't have to clean the kitchen up before I can have a chat with friends
Enjoy yourself, there's loads to read on here. Took me most of our last winter to get thru the stuff that was most interesting to me. Pity I can't remember it all, and have to keep asking anywayAli

Some days it's hardly worth chewing through the restraints!
One bit of old folklore wisdom says to plant tomatoes when the soil is warm enough to sit on with bare buttocks. In surburban areas, use the back of your wrist. Jackie French
