        Hello LOL, and welcome.

I feel like a right quitter having given up on carrots after only three years. Must try again - you have inspired me

Allo Little Old Lady... welcome to the vine.

You know, I will always have the voice of Chorlton the good luck dragon in my head whenever I see your posts 'tis a good thing!

Welcome from a nutter who makes the house mad. I've no illusions of sanity, which doesn't matter here thank goodness!

How big is your smallholding? I'm trying to un'moribund a small farm here in aus. Tis expensive to do things fast, so it's very very slow.

They aren't an easy crop at all, I have no idea why they're (Carrots) so cheap in the shops
Simple - they're tasteless, they have to be cheap or no one would buy them!
