  • Hello

Hi I am new to this site, I have a full allotment plot which I have had for 3 years now grow lots of veg and fruit.
    I'm from Bournemouth.

Have a question for you all I have just bought a corylus avellana cosford cobnut tree and was wondering how to care for it, and if I needed more than one of them. I would say it is about 3-4 years old and has fruit on it.

Look forward to asking more questions in the future

Hello Gina and welcome. If you put Bournemouth in your profile it will save us asking you whenever you ask a question
The RHS say that your cobnut is self-fertile Cobnuts and filberts / Royal Horticultural Society

Go to "My Profile" - near your name at the top of the page
Then "About me" - a tab on the right side
Click on the pen by "Location" and write in the box
Think that's correct - its hard to describe when I'm not looking at my profile

Edit - well done - you're quicker than me!!!

Hello and welcome from another Southerner- the more the merrier. Although have no idea what to do with a cob nut.

Hello and a very warm welcome to the Vine There's an article in the September Grown Your Own mag about planting a nuttery (walnuts, cobnuts and filberts, not the Vine). Now there's a coincidence.
