Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Next stop the cycle shop for the cardboard.

Unfortunately the poly tunnel is on the next plot up, but I have inherited a couple of Compost bins (one wood, one plastic) and I have got a tap and water trough on the plot.

Any ideas what this is?

First weekend on the plot completed and still aching. Managed to clear two areas of 2mx2m and one of 2mx1m. Soil was very compacted and best workout I've had in years.

I would like some advice though. I've got this tree/bush growing in the middle of the plot and haven't a clue what it is. Pictures attached. Should I be digging this out or is it something useful?

Sorry to say the obvious, but its some sort of fruit tree. I can't identify it from the photos but wait until the fruit ripens before you decide what to do with the tree.
