I'm another newbie, in Berkshire. Growing mostly soft fruit in my back garden, and soon to set up a herb patch in the front garden.

Thanks, raspberries, strawberries, tayberry, Japanese wineberry, plum, Rhubarb and a couple of apple stepovers.

That's quite a range, not tried tayberries or wineberries what are they like?

Both plants were new this year, the tayberry was a bit slow to get going so didn't get much off that, but the wineberry has been very easy and happy. I like the way the wineberries grow in their own protective cases so the bugs don't get to them as much too.

Helloooo. What herbs are you planning on? I'm doing well with tarragon, rosemary, oregano, parsley and wormwood. Not much luck with basil, it's often too cold and if I bring it indoors the cat sleeps on it.

They're quite sweet, not that big though. I like them for something a bit different.

Starting out with sage, chives, thyme, oregano, rosemary and hopefully a szechuan pepper. They next year I'll grab some mint from the back of work when it starts growing up in the grass bank again. That'll be going in a pot though to stop it spreading too much though.
