Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but its the only non-gardening related area I could find.

I wonder if there is a way to not view certain areas of the forum - like when I click "NEW POSTS" can I set it not to view Introductions/General Chit Chat etc ?

Could you just go to the section of the forum you do want to see? Not quite what you wanted I know.

Why bother? Just skim past the things you don't want to see. I've never found it a major problem.

General Chitchat is for Non-GYO discussions

As Wendy said, just go to the Main Forum page and choose the board that you're interested and you only see those messages. Not sure whether you can permanently ignore some areas though. It would be a shame to do so as often, posts are relevant to several areas.
