Out of interest why do you grow runners in your greenhouse? They'll grow perfectly well outside.
Why do I grow runner beans in my greenhouse? I've given up in tomatoes as I mentioned. I've got tired of lettuce - most of them end up going to seed. It would be a crying shame to have the greenhouse standing empty so runner beans were the obvious choice. Never get tired of runner beans.
And growing them up string/twine frees up canes for the sweet peas outside.Last edited by Knight of Albion; 26-03-2014, 05:57 PM.Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.

Don't you like peppers or chillies? Aubergines?
I can think of loads of crops I'd personally rather grow under glass than crops that's grow fine outside.
I guess you'd get an earlier set of flowers mind.
