  • Hi from Oundle, Peterborough

    Hi all,

I thought I should just pop in and say hello, for the last 8 years we have been living in a small village outside of Oundle, Peterborough, on the back of our teeny cottage we have around one acre which has been landscaped in areas- round the pond.

I grow everything myself and have had amazing crops most years- including a 136lb Pumpkin last year, my oh my- it was Huge!! Dills atlantic giant

This year I have sown all kinds of beans, courgettes, marrow, pattypan, aubergine, more pumpkin, and chillies- a usual favorite. My potatoes are chitting right now, I have this year, Pink fir apple, Saxon, and Maris peer, mind you, the top part of the field is prone to flooding so would perhaps be better off growing rice!

I have my own Hugelkultur working very nicely and get super large strawberries growing on it, anyway, that is enough for now, I have lots to share- and lots more to ask lol!
