Only thing I've ever grown before is cress in primary school and a beard!

I'm 29, from the Rhondda Valleys in South Wales. I always buy lots of fruit and veg to stay healthy so have decided it'd time I grew some of my own, starting smal and growing larger... That's the plan anyway!

I'm from ******* in the Rhondda darcyvaqua.

BillHH, not a great deal. Patio garden with some soil round the edges. That's why I'm starting with a couple of 35l grow bags and then making room as necessary as currently have a fair few plants growing, but nor ones I can eat

You can use the borders as a cottage garden and interplant veg with your shrubs, or train an apple up the wall/fence, or some runner beans sweetcorn. A border can be very productive if you want it to be, even adding some herbs is a bonus, rosemary thyme and sage make very good shrubs.
