Hi, my names is Katie and I joined this forum a couple of years ago, been pretty quiet over winter because we have been moving and now I'm back because I want to get green fingered in my new garden!
Which section of the forum am I best to post questions about my new garden? Things like identifying lots of plants / weeds/ shrubs /seedlings / trees!? The garden seems to be quite well established in the front but absolutely overrun with weeds
I can identify simple ones like dandelion and dock (which I can feed to my rabbits!) but there are lots where I'm unsure whether they are weeds which will quickly spread or plants that are just coming up...
The back garden has been 'landscaped' apparently..it has borders filled with kind of architectural spiky looking plants and a new looking lawn. I want to get some flowers in the beds but I have to do it sneakily, as if they've naturally come up, as my husband wants it left all boring!!
I also want to start a veg patch but my husband has been pretty fussy about where it is.. I'm not allowed to 'spoil' the back garden!!!! So I have been allocated a very overgrown mess in the front garden but am keen to rope my dad into help clear it and dig it over so I can at least get something in the ground this season!
Whoop sorry! A rather long hello message!!! Any ideas on where to post photos to identity plants then please let me know, I'm off to take some photos! (Which maybe called procrastinating from weeding!!... I will get out and weed the weeds I know are weeds!!)
Thanks fir any pointers
