Thanks everyone diolch, haven't managed to do anything this evening as the welsh weather is pretty horrific at the minute, although I did find an old growyourown mag which I had forgot about under the bed (the little fella loves hiding things) which had some mesclun seeds with it which I haven't used so my next plan will be to start some seeds off to add to the salad border and see how they get on nothing ventured nothing gained as they say
