Hi All,
well we moved home to Cornwall a couple of years ago and have been busy trying to get on top of things around the house, as well as enjoying being home, the first couple of years is the hardest but now the bulk of the urgent stuff is done we are turning our thoughts to the garden with a long term view rather than just trying to keep it tidy.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on an unused 10x12 foot greenhouse from the back of my dads shop that was unloved and unused for many years, with much broken glass. We took it down and transported it to our place, embarrassingly it then took me a year to think about putting it up, but its up, I have had to make lots of adjustments to it as i am a bit of a bodger and a perfectionist once i get a vision, these two traits dont go hand in hand well but it is what it is, the greenhouse is now bodged to perfection its level (now), sat on a brick base, has 500Ltrs of waterbutts fitted and working with 100 inside and 400 outside connected through the brick work so we dont have to go outside to get water, lazy as well
I didn't get it sorted until late but we have toms, cue's sweet peppers and lots of chilis on the go, all late in but they are thought of more as an experiment this year to see if we get enough light and how to best lay it out so we are ready for next year.
So i thought i had best join a forum for growing advice Etc as i am not that clued up on when i should be planing seeds Etc.
Anyway thats about it, other hobbies include motorbikes (hence the "Sprinter" handle), nothing to do with running, the grandkids, fishing (any kind of sea fishing) and mountain biking, wine making, too many things really but it keeps me busy
