  • Hello from East Yorkshire

I have posted on here but quite a long time ago so thought I'd say hello again

I've been reading and learning lots, but wanted to specifically say thank you for this recipe:

    http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...tes_21316.html

This year is the first time I've grown courgettes after being given two plants of yellow ones, I've never eaten or cooked them either!

Made a jar of the above and my OH thinks it is fantastic

I grow fruit and veg in two greenhouses and a small area of garden. I moved house last December to a house with a decent sized garden, but one that is packed full of shrubs and trees and lots of things that I've no idea what they are! We are trying to gain some kind of control, need to do some severe trimming / pruning this autumn and decide on where we can use as extra veg and fruit beds.

Quick list of what I'm growing to give you an idea:

toms - gardeners delight and tiger toms
Cucumber - mini ones, doing great
Sweet peppers - not doing so good, but a few growing
    Courgettes
    climbing french beans
purple sprouting brocolli - currently being eaten by caterpillars
    Raspberries
    Strawberries
Grapes - a vine was in one greenhouse, not been looked after but seems to be fruiting well.
    Rhubarb

Ah yes, that had to go I've been lucky enough to buy a house instead of renting, which means that all the work we put into the garden is for our benefit and no one elses

Bren In Pots - cucumber is the next batch!
