Hi,
I just joined. Have been a member on gardeners world forum for a whole but just found this site, which looks a bit bigger, when searching for seed swaps.
I'm disabled and mostly housebound but get out in my small garden a bit. I have a very small veg patch that I grew a few things in this year - potatoes mainly. Because of health issues I have a lot of food intolerances so growing organic veg is my main motivation as I can eat it safely.
I'm pretty poor, frankly, so I try to make the garden pay for itself, and avoid by expensive tools, plants, seeds, compost, etc. if I can make do or get something in the sale at Wilkinsons or something like that then great. My wife got me some pea/bean soil bacteria in a packet for 30p the other week, much reduced. That's the sort of thing I like. No idea if it's any good mind - we'll see.
I'm doing some pit composting over winter, and leaf mold in bags. Never done either before. I'm an amateur.
Thanks for reading
Joel
