Hello Everyone,
I only started growing my own, in containers, last year. I had never done any sort of gardening before, let alone growing fruit and veg. I had success with spuds, peas, sweet corn, lettuce and carrots; less success with broccoli, strawberries, and beetroot. I did pickle the beetroot but they resembled removed appendices - a bit off putting. I also foolishly tried cape gooseberries. What can I say, I was seduced by advertising.
This year I have acquired a small vegetable patch where I plan to grow more spuds, peas and maybe have a go at sprouts, though by my calculations I will only have room for one (!?).
Got lots of questions, so I'll be doing lots of 'pickings-of-brains' from more experienced comrades.
Thank you for allowing me to join. Looking forward to lots of sound advice.
