    That's interesting Bren, I'm a five minutes walk from the beach but also never knew that you couldn't just 'collect' the seaweed. In some places locally there is plenty of it! Might be a consideration for mulching but looks as if it's a split jury!

      Don't they use seaweed on Jersey royals?
      So far I have 3 kinds of potato, 2 peppers, peas, beans, broad beans, 2 kinds of broccoli, sprouts, cauliflower, carrot, lettuce, onions, parsnips, tomatoes, chillis, celariac and even melons sown and sprouting in various places.
      I imagine I'm likely going to cock it up but ho hum.
      Also ordered a pear tree from this month's magazine. I'm going to run out of space soon!

        Well Done You - and yes space for seedlings etc is always a problem because if you are anything like me I sow extra as a 'just in case' situation and then moan because I have no where to put anything.
