Many thanks for the welcome! I have cleared quite a bit and had a lovely time so far. It is a well loved site (Nursery close yes!) but clay soil is baked solid and I am a bit of a laughing stock bouncing up and down on spade/fork!! And last year's parsnips plus more than a few weeds are entrenched. I will persevere however. People I have met, quite a few, have been lovely. A real camaraderie it feels. This afternoon I am going to try and get some potatoes in after a good soaking this morning. We shall see! Have also read a lot over the last couple of days trying to get my head around crop rotation! I worked out where some things were grown last year. So many endless possibilities. First, I need to source some cardboard to preserve work done so far, as well as potatoes :-D
