Well before March 2015 the most I had even grown from seed was tomatoes. Now nearly one year after getting my allotment I can say I have successfully grown potatoes, courgettes, sweetcorn, radish, beetroot, lettuce, cucumbers & even carrots on stoney soil. I have also made blackcurrant jam, from an established bush, as well as blackberry & blackcurrant icecream.
Working fulltime has meant that most of my allotment time has bee limited to weekends and I haven't had much of a social life
but I've enjoyed every minute on the plot.
so if like me you are a total novice, don't worry just give it a go.
I am going to attempt to upload some photos showing, before, after and during last summer on my plot starting end of March & ending end of Aug.
I'm now planning this year & looking forward to getting started. ENJOY!
